The conflict between Oromia and Somali region has cause a rift in the regions’ vicinity. The radio station, owned by veteran journalist Mimi Sebhatu – former reporter of the Voice of America (VOA) Amharic service, and her husband Zerihun Teshome, is one of Ethiopia’s first private FM radios.



Abdi Mohamoud Omar, is a Somali regional president and a member of the ruling party Ethiopian Somali People Democratic Party (ESPDP). The duo had a conversation on Zami FM.
